RESTAURANTS IN ZURICH

Adlers Swiss Chuchi restaurant at Roseng is a Swiss Kitsch style restaurant with some good home cooked national specialities at great prices. Baur au Lac Rive Gauche has a mix of European and Asian food with a great wine list in a traditional Clubhouse style restaurant.

For the more traditional restaurant, try the Bierhalle Kropfe, which is bustling with crowded tables and the customers feasting on a great selection of sausages, liver dumplings, potato croquettes with melted cheese and also fried apple slices. This place is great an is very friendly.

Just south of the city at Seefeld strasse is the Blaue Ente, which serves baked sea bass with basil cream sauce, or Scottish lamb with whiskey mustard sauce and is quite a mouthful.

For a beautiful view of the lake, go to the Blu Restaurant at See Strasse, and the view will take your breath away. The restaurant looks out onto the sailboat harbour while whipping up some favourite Italian dishes like the sea bass in a lovely salt crust or the grilled pigeon with thyme.

The Bodega Espanola is great for steaks, seafood, omeletes and paella and do not forget to sample the house wine Rioja which is downright excellent. There is a downstairs bar that serves tapas and you can light up a lovely Cuban cigar in relaxing surroundings.
