PLACES TO GO IN ZURICH
Take a stroll around the lake Zurich and there are great walkways around here with also a lovely Arboretum on the left side of the lake. There are special areas on the lake that are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. These supervised areas are open from May to September. The popular areas for swimming are at Mythenquai on the left side of the shore and at Utoquai on the east side of the lake. More swimming spots are at the northern tip of the lake at the confluence of the rivers Limmat and Sihl. Free of charge as well, and the water is just beautiful and refreshing. Visit the Dolder Zoo. This is one of the best Zoos in Europe.
With over 2500 animals in a huge expansive park, the hours will
fly by here strolling around. The zoo also has constructed a
Madagascan rainforest environment which is at the right temperature
to keep all the animals feeling at home. In the mornings, the
elephants are washed, and at lunchtime, watch the bats getting
fed. The emperor penguins have the free running of the place
and mingle around the grounds.
